The Chinese Medicine Industry Council of Australia ( CMIC ) celebrated its 15th Anniversary on the 15th November 2025 in Sydney Australia. CMIC held also the 2025 Australian Qi-Huang Award Ceremony on the night. This event, themed “Let the World See Traditional Chinese Medicine,” brought together over a hundred elites from government, academia, and industry, along with nearly two hundred professionals in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), to witness the remarkable achievements of TCM in taking root and flourishing overseas. CMIC also welcomed Counsellor Jin Jianmin, Consul Qin Kaihong, and Consul Xiao Sha from the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Sydney. This 15th anniversary is a memorable milestone and a journey filled with struggle and inheritance.
In the opening welcome speech, CMIC President Dr. Max Ma pointed out that TCM and herbal medicine are inseparable and interdependent. Excellent TCM efficacy relies on high-quality herbal medicine, while the precise use of herbal medicine depends on the rigorous diagnosis and guidance of TCM practitioners. The development of TCM overseas cannot rely solely on sentiment; it requires scientific management, reliable quality, and mutual regulatory recognition. “Following the way of Qi-Huang; Integrating herbs into healthcare“—this is the long-held philosophy and action plan of CMIC.
Mr Jin Jianmin, Counsellor of Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Sydney, and Dr Pamela Langley, President of Chinese Medicine Council of New South Wales, both highly praised CMIC for its contributions and efforts to the development of traditional Chinese medicine in Australia over the past 15 years, and encouraged everyone to continue their hard work and reach new heights.
